This farmer would never pay to do that properly. Drag the water pipe out the way to mow and then drag it back again afterwards 🙄
And I thought it was marking an important margin to the field or something!!

You can see it really clearly from loads of vantage points miles in each direction.

Bollox to that! They are seriously thin construction - you can see daylight through holes near the top of one of the towers here…

One blew down in a gale in the 80s - you would not catch me working at the top of one ever!

Nightmare, hope you get a prompt pick up.
I had a clutch go super quick on our iveco last week. Had one of the lads broken down cars on our transporter trailer plus iveco had 25 track mats and a patio pack on the back so wouldn’t have wanted to tow it far. Gave literally about 20 miles notice, unfortunately didn’t make it to garage, ended up getting recovered in last mile!

"The wind sucked the air out of the tower and it collapsed in on itself.":oops::oops:

Very very true, everyone I speak to thinks the same.
Musings ..

So I often feel a sad feeling seeing any of our old industry and powerstations ...feels like we are moving further and further into a green bubble...everyone's very happy living in small boxes getting food delivered and no dirty smoky factories and we are all feeling very smug about saving the environment and obviously we must be as we do t have any coal mines etc any more do we...does any one ever contemplate where the stuff we buy and chuck out actually comes from?
Metal still needs foundries and mines FFS.

To be able to get a 3t bottle jack delivered free tomorrow if I order now for £20 on Amazon wtf..how deluded must you be to not think of the poor fkker making that in China...I bet our industrial revolution was a nicer place to be than theirs.

Heads in sand can't be a better analogy.

whining on on the box news tonight about how we can contribute to the reduction in global warming .... 'boss' says ... what all these ****ers seem to forget is ALL our weather arrives here - we don't ****in' make it ... (and we're summat like a less than 0.2% contributor in all the figures bandied about) ... we're a pissy little island in vast world in comparison -- WTF difference are we going to make when all around us do sweet FA ..... she was so right :mad:

Worse job of the year so far, what a hateful job. 300 staples in each 20mx2m roll, made up a tool with rare earth magnets to not have to bend down for everyone. Then used tarmacers heel/podger/tamper to drive them home. Had got sds max tamper in battery DEWALT but was too slow one switch blow with tamper did the trick.

2 of us did 14 rolls in a day so 560m2 ish felt it in shoulders and wrist that evening

Still got 30 rolls to go 😢

Overflow parking, grass matting to make it drivable when wet

Such a crappy system really, much better with proper grass grids, or just dig it off and be done with it - as you know that’s what’s going to be done in the not so distant future!
