What’s ironic about that is they are so strict with new connections these days, last one I did afew weeks ago, 3 different ‘team leaders’ & inspectors all came out and photographed & filmed all my work. To be fair the road connection was about 1.2m deep!
Main man said they rarely pass any jobs first time anymore(mine was passed obviously)
They tried to fail one I did as the pipe had been buried about 300mm as all the ground had been stripped down 500mm for some funny piling system to be used. It was quite obvious what the finished ground level would be but simply didn't compute with the inspector.
A colleague did similar on a small development but virtually no cover as they had reduced the ground to much. Inspector insisted they ripped it all out and reinstalled at 750mm so they did. Then built the ground up and failed as they where now over 1200mm in the ground which is maximum cover
