For the price I would have thought you could save more than that in time on the first job. Also looks more professional than gash bits of wood taped to a staff even if you cut them accurately.

I spent a small fortune on RAM Mount bits in the Volvo trying to keep the cradle steady and mount the Rototilt screen at the same time, surprisingly difficult in a small cab when you need clearance for the window, levers etc and still be in a convenient position .View attachment 44175

I have a ram Mount with triple suckers. Never failed yet. Wish I had an opening window on my small machine though.

nice when people appreciate an honest good review rather than relying on paid promotions. I’m sure they will see sales of you recommending it. If I did that type of work I would be straight out ordering one. Keeping it simple and efficient is good in my book.

I’m truth I have not got the idig set up on the 8tonne machine since the Engcon has been put on. I have an extra plate to put on but so far haven’t really needed it for the work I have used it on.

I won today. Bought some ground round the corner was just trying to suss out lay of the land with some drains in neighbouring houses and found this. Went got my rods and some buckets and cleared it for them. Toilet on that branch wouldn't flush anymore. Had been blocked futher down, insurance call out and theyd only cleared the main run and one side as the blockage to neighbouring property.

One neighbour offered me a few quid other one said they owe me a beer but ill just keep it in the favour bank.

Pipe level best thing I’ve bought for drainage but now sold out everywhere, has 4 stops 1:40, 1:60, 1:80, 1:100 put it on pipe with arrow with fall boom.

I did a big house 60m drains 16 Ics to get rd 3 sides I was only 5mm out on invert to tank when checked with total station

I just tape some plastic packers to my 6ft level. To suit grade. Bit more fiddly i suppose but not doing it regular like you. Flip level over check pipe is straight before moving on ive had some bananas delivered in the past and told him to put them straight back on the lorry. Bent pipe no good with 1.80

Pipe in the last 10 years has got thinner and crap used to be able to run bucket over it now it deforms and cracks. Too many cheap producers of it

Tape the joints, it makes a world of difference.
Even better, if you're doing it for yourself & funds can stretch, put a layer of multilayer foil on the inside, even the cheap version, makes a world of difference.

Reducing ventilation heat loss is now by far the better option than beefing up insulation thickness.

Deffo. Ive sent a load of cheap stuff back for being too light n all. A length was literally half the weight of a flo plast length i had on site. My attitude now is just to stick with the better brands from decent merchants. Osma has some good bases the others dont.

Tape the joints, it makes a world of difference.

Yeh 1 25mm sheet of insulation right over the top taped up will reduce all the cold bridges

Ive always tried to stick with Polypipe but my supplier has just started stocking some other brand i'd never seen before, seems to be a reasonable thickness but when you cut it it snaps like a carrot half way through if your not careful, also had some fittings from other brands that are ridiculously tight and manhole bases from Polydrain, who are nothing to do with Polypipe as far as i can tell, with seals not fitted properly so you have to take the retaining ring off and resemble every one.
Bloody stuffs so expensive now you just want to be able to put it together as quick as possible, nothing worse than struggling about in the bottom of a trench. so much sh t out there, thought it had to conform to BS- something

Usually yes, but this is having a full internal wrap of thermal vapour barrier inside, all taped. Oh and more insulated plasterboard on the ceiling
