Finally broke ground on my next build, just stripped the site and got compound stoned up along with scaffolding pad and herras fencing all around it- busy 2 days on my own self loading and dumping.. keeps you fit!
Site next door had 4 blokes felt and lathing a roof which I’d of done on my own in the same amount of time 🤦‍♂️

Watch this space 😎
Just doing the one to the right to start with, other is going in for planning shortly.. due to the hopelessness of the council I’ve had to do it this way which is a shame! Usual practice is to do the whole site at once but my hands are tied! 🤦‍♂️

One of my old builder customers always had me trail back to his yard if we had an early finish to bash his yard skip down ‘paid for half your day rate that has’ he’d say, true true!
I’d have to check the figures but IIRC our skip costs about £500 to empty (mostly haulage + landfill per ton ) so if I can get double in by packing it in with digger bucket then it’s excellent value .
I keep my eye out for a baling solution but nothing has presented itself.

I miss the days of good old fashioned combustion.

In your yard ?? or at the tip?
Ha, at the yard. 16yard for landfill. tipping skip for harcore. 6 yard for steel. tipping skip inside for landfill, tipping skip inside for small steel. tipping skip for timber. Stillage for cardboard (pre compacting) . 3 stillages for compacted cylinders and sorted metals, then about a dozen 240litre wheelie bins for paper /WEE /Plasterboard and all the different types of sellable metals.
