While we're having a moan .....I've noticed what seems to be a slight bit of back to front rattle in the engcon bottom hitch, turn bucket side on and it doesn't do it, does it with all buckets so seems to be hitch, about 5/600 hrs ...
Never taken a lot of notice tbf but I thought the ram took up any play 🤔
You sure it’s not the actual engcon?back and front sounds like where the tilt unit is joined to the rotate bit. Mine does it, I’ll shim it one day.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Needed or no do you reckon?
need some form of CLRV or the motor'll stop dead, when the P line is disengaged ... a check valve tee-ed across the P & T appropriately will suffice... issue with doing it that way though is the motor can be run in both directions, so realistically needs to be a dedicated CLRV

So I will use the one that's come off it 👍
Just got to make a new home for it as where it was liberated from ain't no more 🤣

Dunno exactly where its coming from tbh ..no visible movement anywhere but a tiny bit in back of hitch maybe.
Its had plenty of grease and with those hours its a bit unexpected.
Took bottom plate of and no crud in there to speak off.
Too busy now for any downtime so see if it develops.

Todays job... its to gravel at some stage after the renovation work on the house but this scheme should dry it up ....drains and gravel up to surface to isolate the parking areas.
Bit of an improvement since we first went to put some drainage in and change a knackered tank.

Is it linked to a case drain on the motor?
It's the outer 2 pipes on the motor that join at that block the middle pipe would just go up the arm as it's longer than the other 2 🤔

As far as I got today needs some new hinge pins 32mm with grease journals in the middle made that's for another day as had to heat up the bosses to extract one pin rusted in place oxygen hose blew off the flame arrestor on the torch while I was cutting and pipe whipped my inner thigh f**k that hurt plus scared the sbit out of me 😳 so 2 new hoses now about time really as ones are probably old as me
Bit more to do tomorrow but can't get hoses made till digger back in yard

@CPS both hoses are sat to the sides they came from originally with the spurs from the t fittings going up the arm the 3rd pipe was straight from motor to the arm and not part of this valve

Huh that's why the auger flight is so heavy a hidden extension 😎
Took a lot of duck oil and hitting with persuader to free off the top end and a ratchet strap around the JCB to keep tension on
