Do lorries not carry emergency chemicals to stop the set? Sugar was the old timers story.
Not sure, I’ve pulled one out before that drove in forward down a steep drive and couldn’t reverse. Packed up on another site early, rushed to yard to grab straps then onto stuck site, pulled him out, sent £200 invoice for my troubles - got a angry phone call from haulage company asking wtf I charged so much! Said it would be cheaper than a new drum and £800 of screed lost 😡 invoice paid next day!

The field at the other side is about 6 foot lower, pure peat, a sheugh at the back of the fence and the electric pole is there too, so no access from there. He tried to discharge but as soon as he started to turn her she went in further and was going to go over. She went in at 3pm, at 4 his bosses told him not to try anything else, recovery team would be there at 5, they showed up at 8 🤣 problem is access, only the one lane and the ground everywhere is extremely soft

Surely the drum is now a write off and it would be as easy to stihl saw it open and break out the concrete with the machine before it properly cures 🤔🙂

You would think that, god knows what they are thinking 🤔 I’m just happy to have a laugh and get paid well 🤣 digger sat all night helping to anchor it so surely that’s chargeable?🤔

Too true, it is sometimes good to be a dispassionate observer rather than having skin in the game 😁
