I was on there because I finished my digger & telehandler NVQ & had a bit of time to save some oak & ash fire wood because that thing was eating everything, I think there was 35 loads of chip out of that job & quite a lot of oak saw log about 80 k worth

What sort of firm takes on a job like that without realising the value or utility of such a large amount of timber?

I don't know if these are any cheaper, but I have the petrol version and it's solid. Heavy as hell, and the paddles mix much more thoroughly.

Edit- they are a lot cheaper! £624 ex vat for Honda engine vs £829 ex vat for the Belle Honda! The Fairport is 6kg heavier too, and you can't say that's because Belle use Hardox....

Look ok tbf

Ah, OK. I read it that he went and took some firewood out of the brash to be chipped, and they’d already separated the saw logs.
That’s the one, the saw log is paying for the job, the chip is a bit of a bonus & there is a awhi 400 mulcher to tidy everything up for a week & we’re taking the over size from the chipper & any ash & oak lying about so there is less for the mulcher to do. I’m still here loading tractors & trailers

Bit of stone work today inserting lead cavity trays on a trust property that’s got damp issues. Also knocked out all the cement strap pointing and repointing with lime. 56kg code 5 lead at 600mm isn’t fun and dressing corners on soft stone finials

Well afternoon wasn't as good as this morning
Got brother van serviced and dragged 55 in at half 3 for a 1000hrs service I am a good half way through uncle comes back from late lunch as he had been steam cleaning one of the lorry's for test on Friday to find fuel tank on lorry pissing diesel out at the bottom
Paint and rust must have been holding it in for a while and steam cleaner removed that during cleaning on outdoor pit
So now I'm rushing to put back on pilot filter and put bung in sump fill it up with oil so I can track out of workshop to lorry to suck a tank full into the digger then hand pump the rest of the 300l of diesel out into drums 🥵
Not long got in as had to finish service and load machine up ready for tomorrow
