**** me this bloke's either an idiot or it's an automated reply system ......

"Hi, Since I am in the Isle of Man with the digger there are only 2 ways to do this sale:
* The first option is to use a transport company that deals with the transaction, digger and the money as escrow. I will pay the company, so you will not pay extra money then the digger price. You will get the digger to your home address, and you can check the digger before making the final decision.
* The second option is by using PayPal pay after delivery service: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/pay-after-delivery-terms
Please let me know how you want to continue with this transaction and I will provide more details. Regards,
Michael Lucas"

exactly the same email as I got back a few months ago on a m/c in Penznance - supposedly ..... think it's up in here earlier :giggle:

I’ve just joined the forum as searched for an email following a listing on eBay and it brought me here as it did seem to good to be true. Same people are at it again 🙄.

I can’t seem to post the link. It’s on eBay at £5800 and location of Newton abbot.
JCB-3CX-SiteMaster-Turbo-4-x-4-extra-dig

This time the email says

Thank you for your interest in my digger. Visually and technically in a super condition. I've recently moved permanently from Newton Abbot to Isle of Man due to my work and forgot to change location sorry. I am very busy in my job, I work on a BP fleet and reside on the Isle of Man. Ownership documentation available. Actual asking price is £5,800. Reduced for quick sale. No VAT
Regards,
Robert Burton

Email started as [email protected] then changed to [email protected].

I did ask how Michale Lucas is. Bet I don’t hear back and yes I have reported the sale.

Cha ching you have just saved yourself £5800 and a heartache.

Just shows that this still works and coming from CE forum where we had many others join up to say the same.

I’m currently looking to buy a mulcher to go on my digger. Having narrowed down the search to a Femac T9 FR105 I priced one up from the UK dealer and also did a google search to compare prices with our European neighbours.
I ended up on a website called Agriaffaires, which took me to the exact model being sold by a French dealer. We exchanged a couple of emails (my initial enquiry was an email through the Agriaffaires site which seems similar to Mascus, in which I’d included my email address and phone number) and they also rang me and we had a decent conversation where they stated that they didn’t have the particular model in stock and it would be at least a 3 week lead time. I am pretty confident the French dealer I spoke to and emailed is genuine (there price was around £100 cheaper than the UK agent, but that’s not worth the saving when future backup/parts etc is considered so I’ve discounted the idea of an import).
Today I have received a convincing looking email from a firm called Global Trading Group, offering me a 20% discount as they are clearing stock... I’ve never knowingly had any contact with any company going by that name. They have my email address and know the exact product I was looking for so someone has given my details away. I am convinced it’s a scam - has anyone experienced similar?

There are so many scammers on E Bay especially plant, tractors and on classic cars, I report loads but it becomes boring after a while and is a real pain in the arse if you are genuinely looking for something.

I can’t be arsed with eBay now, too much crap like that or people living in a dreamworld with their prices. I’m sure there’s still an odd bargain on there if you can be bothered sifting through the dross.

not a scam as such .... but watch the vid and tell me HTF that's less than 5k hrs ...

as for the plate :mad: ..... reckon '97 or earlier would be more like it ..... would be checking with the manufacturers to see if it corresponds

if it 'felt' a lot straighter than it seems'd be a cheap tool ........ but look where it is :(
