On a world scale, the Icelandic eruption was "large" (mag. 4), there have been much bigger events (Mt St Helens, Pinatubo etc.)
Eyjafjallajökull ejected 250 million cubic metres
Mt StHelens ejected 1000 million cubic metres
Pinatubo ejected 10,000 million cubic metres

If the sun rises / sets in different locations, then one of two things must have happened:
  1. the earths axis has changed (the Nth & Sth poles have moved and the equator has a new location)
  2. the angle of the earths inclination has changed ( if the angle increased, the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn have moved further apart or vise versa)
If the tropics moved, so would the arctic/antarctic circles resulting in a different number of days of total darkness each winter (I think this would be noticed).

Also, if the earths inclination had changed, the position of every celestial body would also appear to move. Before GPS, the precision navigation instrument was the Sextant. A good operator can plot a position with a Sextant within half a mile, but only if the stars are where they should be. Sextants are still sold to enthusiasts, as backup navigation on yachts and their use is taught in the Navy. Any systematic error would be be discussed widely and be impossible to keep quiet.

As for your (or any other) Government keeping secrets, it's never happened before :ROFLMAO:
agree with what you say .... but our sunset is definitely in a different location to that of 2010 - no question - it is totally noticeable

So Tata steel are closing both furnaces at Port Talbot to be eventually replaced with an arc furnace. No more virgin steel will all be recycled to meet net 0. So pollution in China and India is fine Astley don't give a s**t.
About time the UK sorted our own security out, no food steel and most other industries done, but we must lead the world on bs non existent jobs all working from home on over inflated wages!

" between 2016 and 2020, the UK provided around £1.9 billion of (foreign) aid to India. " .....
WHY????
they have a ****ing space program FFS ....
STOP - NOW ...
and use the money in this country ..
and in particular to cover these job losses ...
aside from the hundreds of millions the UK Gov. gave Tata in an effort to
(a) get them there
and
(b) the multi millions they have given them since then (circa £500+m)

" The review by the Independent Commission for Aid Impact said the government spent £2.3bn on aid to India between 2016 and 2021, including the provision of loans by the government-run British International Investment to mainly smaller companies. In total, loans to India represent 28% of the BII global loan portfolio. "

" in 2021 the UK sent just under £50million in foreign aid to China, the world’s second-largest economy. " ...... WTF is wrong with this country ???????? :mad::mad::mad::mad: 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬

" Official Development Assistance (ODA) consists of resources given by richer countries to poorer ones to promote economic growth and the welfare of their people.

In 2022, the UK was the third-largest ODA donor in the world, sending just under £12.8billion to those in need. " WHY???????

You need to think about foreign aid a little differently. It is a way of diverting money to things that people don't see, bribery corruption interfering with other countries.
