Not really happy with it , need to source some straps with delta ends to go over the rope hooks and try to find some with rave hooks that fit properly too.

When the digger is on I'm currently running the straps from a point at the front all the way to the back under the deck and up and over to get the required restraint without using any points that Ifor Williams have labeled as 500Kg max.

the restriction there is the degree you are prepared to distort the sides by pulling the rat sh1ts as tight as they ought to be

Out of scope can become quite complicated. You really need a tm who specializes in that area rather than general transport.
Any vehicle can be run out of scope it's the work that dictates it.

well actually ....
if there were no trailer lights fitted, then he wouldn't need them in the hours of daylight, but must give hand signals to following traffic....
as they are fitted they must work at all times.
as for the number plate, ....
unless it has changed, as long as the drawing vehicle has a trace-able reg plate, the trailer doesn't necessarily have to have a matching plate, as long as the plate that is displayed is also trace-able to a vehicle in the same ownership (as the drawing vehicle - or can be traced to it) ...
it's possible this has been revoked with the advent of NPRC

My current understanding is that exemption only applies to agri registered tractors.

(3) Where the towing vehicle is an agricultural machine, a plate fixed on the trailer may, instead of displaying the registration mark of the towing vehicle, display the mark of any other agricultural machine kept by the keeper of the towing vehicle."

In fairness the chaining would likely comply in court. It's against the headboard on both parts and chained to prevent rearward movement.

I'd actually be angrier if they had picked up load security and not the blatent piss taking

From the way it's worded I'd say someone's cottoned on to the piss taking. I've seen a steady stream of low loaders at cuerden lately and that's 20 mins from greater Manchesters patch.
Maybe finally the cleanup is coming.
