Tried to higher guy with smaller one of these to do my pile of sandstone, wanted. £700 to turn up then was big faff on feeding it and what size putting in it, wanted to feed it himself with his machine at extra cost etc.
Who was that out of interest…?
My guy was £60hr but he’s had the bigger crusher shown above so is nearer £90hr now.. he doesn’t overly like folk loading it, but I do understand why, unless it’s nice clean hardcore they block up really easily!

Farm construction isn’t agri. Repair and maintenance is.
Very very grey getting increasingly greyer with the red/white thing.

SPOA got clarification a the start of the year that the construction of new unsealed forestry access roads and infrastructure (landings etc) where they are required to enable or improve the forestry operation (be it the start such as planting or the end such as felling) where to be classed as forestry operations.

The same ruling can be extrapolated across to agriculture - the construction of a new access track to enable cattle to move across land without creating mud or to enable better access for farm machinery could easily be wrangled..... the key thing is it must benefit the agricultural (e.g growing/harvesting) operation.

Had some fun with the emails on this last April (at one point had to seek legal guidance as HMRC's bloke wasn't very happy at being grilled and the information shared) but i'd go to court with it.

I'm not seeing the mass increase in dipping or stasi HMRC patrols...I'd hazard a guess from what I've heard round here it's business as usual..

Big outfit near me got dipped, but I don’t know of any outcome, he doesn’t give a crap and will just pay whatever fine and most likely carry on!

So Saturday we ripped out frozen ground and chucked down 60 ton of our crushed sandstone, tracked it in as no big wacker on site. Was wet day but was solid when we left as I did few laps in my truck to test it….

Monday hose fitter van sank to axles, had to pull it all out. Bin the 60 ton off and start again properly today, ram done drains in, terram 1000, put another 80 tons in but wacked it straight away with big wacker. 20 ton gravel
Coming in morning so that’ll test it but wacker was bouncing like when on concrete so has gone it well.

Shouldn’t have stoned up in rain and melt and only relied on tracking it in, did know that but was trying to get ahead and infact cost me 2 days instead. Will stack first 60 ton up see if it dries out for summer project

Looks like there's been a lot of shite in with the stone you've crushed by the looks of it.
