Bergen, Norway's rainy city, is almost never cold.

I live 740 miles to the east of Bergen, In The Winter here there can be periods of cold mostly +5 to -10, the record for the last 5 years is only -26
now in the winter with snow on the mountain passes it takes about 8-9 hours to drive from Bergen and here in the summer 5-6 hours
On that trip in winter time you can get out for -40 to -50 at the max the normal in the mountain is around -15 to -20
but there's no danger, the barrack is on leca blocks so it doesn't freeze to the ground.

So when should I have dinner ready ?

I'm sure you can bury an old tank/drum next to the head for sewage collection and pay the portaloo guys for a suck now and again if needed until you get a sewer connection sorted

You can get horizontal septic tanks that sit under a cabin exactly for that purpose

Depends how regulated the site is. Temp cess pit fine, but won't pass regs in some places.

I guess no one ever drilled a few 10mm holes round the bottom first...strangely then they don't need emptying for a very long time ..🫣

I had this on a site for 5 years.. everyone much preferred it to a Portaloo!! Plumbed it straight into new treatment tank for one of the builds which I put in first

Try that round here and the bugger would fill up before you even flushed the toilet!
