Dealers picture, extra counter weight
Even with the extra counterweight it just looks so wrong really to be handling heavy stuff. Look at the difference with my TB228Dealers picture, extra counter weight

They’ve not really stretched it out much, and there’s not much weight in that little tree.Dealers picture, extra counter weight

Bobcat E27 doesn’t look that different, its compact radius. But it lifts well and is just as planted as a TB230 according to @MonkeybusinessEven with the extra counterweight it just looks so wrong really to be handling heavy stuff. Look at the difference with my TB228
Does the bobcat have an additional weight pack or just as standard? Think the bobcat has a wider track base than the Tak which probably helps a bit tooBobcat E27 doesn’t look that different, its compact radius. But it lifts well and is just as planted as a TB230 according to @Monkeybusiness
Extra counterweight and as you say a wider track frame on my old E27. The Tak edges it slightly on stability, but I expected it to be night-and-day better due to its extra bulk and big arse. The Bobcat is a very good all-round machine in fairness (just needs AC now really!).Does the bobcat have an additional weight pack or just as standard? Just comparing paper spec between a E27 and TB230. With the additional counter weights on the E27the Tak has a slight edge over the side- but not much- however the bobcat with the blade down over front has superior hydraulic lifting capacity. Let's have a look at Kub 030 out of interest. Paper specs aren't always accurate mind you, don't know how they really work it all out but gives an ideaBobcat E27 doesn’t look that different, its compact radius. Yeah I know, it was the only picture side on with the extra weight I could see. They’ve not really stretched it out much, and there’s not much weight in that little tree.
The offset only goes 45 degrees to the left on a Yanmar. Not the end of the world for some things but so much of my work I end up looking out the door when I'm working- getting in close to a ditch etc. I guess I'd get used to it after awhile but I hired one once and found it most annoying!Have I missed something but what about yanmar ? Popular with ARB lads and they arent easy on kit ..
Maybe he didn't consider a jcb as the competitionThere isn't 10k between the sany and the competition. Sany sy26c is somewhere around £25k, I had a price for a JCB 26c with twin aux, hitch prep (was going to transfer over my hitch and buckets) was 29k with interest free and including 3 services
I looked at them and very nearly committed but the offset is all wrong so went for kubotaHave I missed something but what about yanmar ? Popular with ARB lads and they arent easy on kit ..
