Sany Sy26c

Watched @Gunners video the other the day reviewing a Chinese digger (already forgotten the name of it!).
I've kind of resigned myself to the fact that running 2x 3 tonners suits my business well. It's the end of the tax year and I'm now thinking of parting with my beloved Tak TB125- it's become very much a backup machine of late (I want dual hydraulics) ALL of the maintream brands I'm considering are compromised in some regard, whether it's because they're zero tail (Wacker), s**t paint jobs (bobcat), too heavy to be towed honestly (Takeuchi) Kubota probably nearest to suit my requirements but heard mixed things on the latest models.
So if I'm compromising anyway do I do so and save myself £10k by getting a Sany26c as it wont be my only machine and can get the right spec at not alot of money really.. the sany dealer is pretty much down the road from me and have a good rep. Or is this going to be something that bites me in the arse. Hmm will go and have a look at one I think

Paintwork on a Bobcat E27 isn’t bad at all. The 2t machines are the worst.

There isn't 10k between the sany and the competition. Sany sy26c is somewhere around £25k, I had a price for a JCB 26c with twin aux, hitch prep (was going to transfer over my hitch and buckets) was 29k with interest free and including 3 services

Interesting. I'm not paying mainstream money for a Chinese machine that's for sure. The sums have to add up and its not just purchase price. Depreciation, reliability are just as important. Infact reliability is more important than depreciation or purchase cost because nothing is more expensive than down time. If I buy a Sany will I get 5000hrs almost faultless service (do hoses even count!) like I have from my TB125? No one can say course but I'd be tempted to experiment if the price was right

You have had a cracked track frame though and when I was looking at that E26 before Christmas I could see why- not a great design and I'm always grappling around with stuff far too big for the machine really. I know it's repairable but shouldn't have to be doing that IMO. Same as Monkeys TB230.

I had a price for a twin aux steel tracked Kub 027-4 before Xmas and that was £33k without any buckets...
JCB not a contender for me but they do represent value for money

Seen develon were selling the dx27z twin aux and I believe with ac for 29k, think Volvo and cat are a fair bit over 30k

It was but same design I believe. The E26 I tried was nice enough machine zero aside, but definitely sheets of paint starting to some off and the track welds were not particularly convincing.

or open up the cheeks on your existing one -- POP with a mag and broach .... a 35'd self centre on a 30mm hole -- all depends on the difference on your pin ctrs really

I think the pin centers on a KX61 which stroppy uses is a fair but closer than a TB125 iirc
