Last month we had our Broadband and Phone line sorted out and I know that you will be interested in this Graham
@V8Druid
We live in a very rural location and the phone lines come from a cabinet in the next village just over a mile away and about 3.5 miles from the exchange.
The phone and broadband in recent years have been absolute crap

and both dropping out randomly especially when it rains

Our ISP is BT Internet and they have got magically better at listening to our complaints if recent years.
This has included refunds when we can prove that they have failed to deliver

We have continuously logged our interest in FFTP.
August 2019 saw them run the fibre cable along the grass verges and up the poles

Then in March 2020 contractor came to run the fibre cables up the pole to the outlet box.
Had a chat, "No mate, we can't do it because of all this ivy and brambles. Openreach were supposed to have cleared this for us."

R - "Leave it with me I'll sort it right now"

So with the help of Mr Stihl and a rip all the brambles and ivy was removed and they did the connection.
Another 6 months went by before my ISP emailed me that FFTP was available

Immediately ordered it
Two fellas rocked up from Openreach both called Ryan

Kept them supplied with coffee and biscuits and what a superb job was done
