The Hitatchi EX30 and its replacement the ZX30 was the nicest 3t machine I've ever driven - and you know how I like a JCB! Oh to find a nice one of them again before Hitatchi went all zero swing and somehow made their hydraulics worse. Mind you, they are too heavy to tow:unsure:
To us the 3 ton hitachis are just right, better balanced than a 2.8ton and more powerful than a 2.8 or 3.3/3.5 tonner. Have used a zx35 and due to the longer dipper and boom it didn’t have the same power as the 30. Towing isn’t an issue for us (y)

Thought it was for a down stairs toilet
I would of had a chamber on the corner like the last picture and building control would of insisted

It’s close enough to the chamber to pass here, it’s still rod-able. Normally I would put two 45s on the chamber (like I have done on the other one) and set chamber at an angle to create a 90, but I had to get past an existing manhole so done it this way, will be no problem with flow (y) only 22inches between long radius 90 and the chamber, be no problem at all.

Great digger the ex30. Still one floating around ere. Not in everyday use but can still put in a days work when we’re busy and need it. Could be up for sale if anyone is interested. I actually sold it to my uncle a few years ago and he has just bought a zx60 as he found the ex30 small for working around his farm. So he will probly sell it on

easy enough job chop out the bend and put a chamber in. May get away with it on private land but not a hope on public where severn trent or your local sewer company inspect. Bad habit to get into as well.

Just saying !!

We're farmers, we fatten store lambs but I wouldn't thank you for giving me tractor work! I've got nothing but respect for the lads that can sit on them all day I hate it and try my best not to do it!
I'll happily drive a wagon , dumper digger etc but hate tractors for some reason.
10 mins on a bale unroller is enough for me 😂

Quite liked this 75. Seemed a well put together machine. Would like to see one on 600mm pads

Been a wet day, sorted sheep and took them to market. Waiting for dinner before I head back to sell them. Crap weather so just been going through old photos. Here’s the second worst 13ton class machine I have drive (only beaten to worst by an 805BT).
