One thing we were wondering, where do yous do all your shopping? Not many big shops in Stornoway and didn’t see any delivery vans about. Do yous have to head to the mainland for “big shops”

There is a coop ond a tesco,they both do home delivery also, tesco have 14 vans up here, coop only have 3 vans,everything is more expensive here compared to mainland

A filling station in stornoway open for a few hours, hotels are open in Tarbert for food, which is on your way to the beach, its a lovely beach down there hope the weather is better for you, the long reach was in harbour near where the ferry comes in but must have gone put to the bay to start it's work

Noticed a long reach (cat?) and another digger working down the bay

Hoping for a good day, the photos of it in good weather are amazing

It was on the harbour early this morning must have gone out after 9, ye a wm plant cat 374, there is st clements church in rodel to go and see if your down harris it's a medieval church,

I was on it last week on another job putting up a phone mast down in harris next week, we have 9 machines on that site and a couple of dump trucks ,I'm starting another phone mast in a few weeks just along from where your staying,

Sounds like fun work, do you just work on Lewis and Harris or do you travel?

I only really work here but there is work in skye, Ullapool, inverness area and a job in mallaig, they also do work at a windfarm in Dufftown, get plenty variety anyway

Been a pretty horrible day for you today, the beach is lovely on a decent day it would have pretty quiet there though,did you go round the loop road in harris or go back the same way you got there

We went the loop road, thought finsbay etc, that was a remote kind of place

Yes it's pretty put of the way, they were wanting to open a super quarry round there a few years ago bit never got permission for it,

Definitely wouldn’t have been a shortage of rock

Staying on Uist now, South Uist to be exact, got the ferry from Leverburgh to Berneray, then drove from there, through North Uist, Benbecula then arrived South Uist. Visited Grimsay today, will head to Eriskay tomorrow after the Highland Games. Done a Croft and Machair tour yesterday
