very much a generational thing ... very few people and certainly none of those under 75 will ever have seen the death and coronation of two monarchs in their lifetimes. Many of us may now do so.
QE2 has been Britain's 'rock' with her dedication to her role and her shoes will take some filling ..... not much hope of that for a while though :( ... Pity Anne wasn't the first born
Would not have made any difference. It is only after this line that succession of female born takes there rightful place in line.

It’s what I do!
Definitely a gracious lady, and a through and through English Queen, will be missed by many, in many of my schools we had a large picture of the Queen, that doesn’t seem to be these days!
She has always been in the fabric of our country, and will continue to be for a long time yet.

Apparently when Philip and the queen visited Exeter back in 1977 there was a row of Disabled people in wheel chairs with those silver blanket things over them to keep warm, they were waiting to see the royal couple and the first thing Philip said to them was "what are they going to do with you then, put you in the oven?" 🤣

No other country in the world can put on a show like today's. Other countries can only look on in envy, or respond with their left wing /liberal views like CNN have been doing but it just shows their naivety towards our Royal Family and our countries 1000 years of history. They reckon well over 1/2 the population in the world will be watching this today, It makes you proud to be English (or being Pc) British! Tomorrow will be the dawning of a new era for all of us here, lets make the most of it Charles has a tough act to follow "God save the King"

M25 this morning was absolutely deserted. Although vosa where still sat waiting. I don't know what for as no commercial vehicles on the road.
Way home was standstill. They had closed j13 for the procession. And every one was rubber necking at the hundreds of police sat about. The a30 had a police officer sat every 100 ft.

Not everyone who serves/served in the military is/was a hero, bit like the throwing of flowers n public wailing,it's a relatively modern idea
Nope not talking heros just men and women doing their jobs which can be horrific and not getting proper help without the stigma that goes with it

well the next one's likely to be a right royal endorsement for their ideas .... hadn't been installed in Buck house five minutes and he's laying off his staff from his last pad ... he's going to need to drastically rein in his own personal opinions and toe the royal 'no comment' line in future on a hell of a lot that he's been so controversially opinionated about......or he may well be the end of the line
