Why have I got to have the kitchen lights on to see, I thought we were in Summer 🤔
Junior terrier is wanting a cuddle (the terrified of lightning one) so shmbo may go hungry, I'll tell her it's good for her figure 🙂

Standard response is to whack the music on loud, doesn't help when the last cd played was dreadzone starting with a rumble of thunder 😳
threatening here and had quite a few very large spots of rain, but hasn't come to anything yet ...
temp has gone down from 32C to 27C but so 'heavy' it's pretty unbearable ---
cats don't know what to do with themselves -
have 'wet' squeak down a few times but although he likes the effect, he's not happy with the M.O. to achieve it

and in reply to the first line .... longest day was yesterday - down hill again from here on in :cry:

I just can’t work in shorts, deffo not with tarmac! Half tempted in trousers at Hillhead.. bright white limestone on the back of your legs = burns!!
Same, can't really stand any trousers apart from jeans 😆
Although I did crack and wear shorts on my bike earlier, mainly because I didn't want another pair of soaked jeans to deal with 😆 starred raining as I got home 😂😂
People always say 'oh how can you wear jeans in this weather, put some shorts on etc' but I'll take the little bit of extra heat to be able to kneel down/not get stung/not end up with oil grease and mud all over my legs 😆 🤣

Meanwhile Aberdeen are salt spreading 😂

Why out interest? Surely it's factored in? What about Spain etc?

I couldn't tell you about spain but there are generally a few things at play.
The bitumen in modern asphalt is polymer modified so will be tailored to the environment. We probably have tarmac that copes best with rain, and I dare say spain has tarmac that copes better with heat.
Secondly it appears to be the areas where the planes turn from the taxiways that are causing problems. If you know this is a problem you can use concrete or design the taxiways to reduce the turning required.

Fairly hot today in NE Essex 🥵
IMG_0854.jpeg

Weather station showing 30.6c at 12:33 and we are near and have a coastal breeze 😉
On a positive note the white meter, far left shows the solar panel generation at about 2.9kW. It been giving great output over most of the day. And means that we can run the AC all day and charge up the EV for nothing 🤣
