looks fun digging around them are they live?
Fortunately not. They can’t be damaged though, and there is unmarked fibre as well as earth cable randomly scattered throughout (none of which can be damaged either…). We had to pump constantly to see what we were doing, and nobody would commit to where might be safe to dig a sump 😂

This was Tuesday night (dry all day but pumps constantly running) - the cables we needed are just visible 18’’ below the fibre duct.

Historically no, but I’ve somehow found myself digging loads of ponds over the last 12 months, and am being used quite a bit by an electrical engineering firm who look after wind and solar farms.
I quite enjoy the change to be honest, and it’s interesting to have a look into other industries. (But I do enjoy a nice bit of deforestation too!😂).

Lucky to have ground mats there otherwise the place would be a right mess.
Believe me until I tidied a bit it was shocking 8 to 12 inch ruts in what I've called quick clay stand in 1 place for more than 10 sec you'll struggle to get out. Had both feet stuck earlier in week took 3 to 4 min to get free 😟
