Out walking with the dogs this morning and the pavements and road verges are covered in leaves all of the way up out of town.
We are forecast something like 30 hours of rain which will cause "totally unforeseeable" flooding down in Nailsworth 😒
don't think it's so much the duration as the quantity they're forecasting ... 's gonna be biblical/monsoon sort of rain by all accounts :(
as for unforeseeable .. what bollox .. if it's low lying it'll be underwater .. simples........ and anything above it'll be flowing onto it

As LL says .. dry and cold next week -1C/-2C Monday night on 'til next Saturday

Windy! Just lost a monster oak bough !
'Sposed to be here, too, but barely a breeze from the NE which we don't get that often ...
just enough to blow it onto the 'kitchen' end of the house and can't open a door, without getting soaked ...
got nowhere to stand to have a fag :( (I don't smoke in the house)

it sure is coming down though

Been raining all morning here. Council closing roads because of possible tree falls. Just done the concrete for living room subfloor so working inside!

has eased down to drizzle here about midnight ...
local area has had a bollocking by the sounds of it and some of the FB posts
the post van trap down the road, under the usual bridge is under the normal 6ft of water  (some'll recall it from last year :ROFLMAO:)

couple of miles further back up the Llanthony valley at dusk ... bet it's a lot wetter now

main street of Aber is flooded and several side roads (and I have a fair idea why - relief system for a 'stream' which caused massive grief with the EA, when I was selling my yard, has probably been overcome - looking at some of the footage I've seen tonight - and has sent it all down into town )

this pub's in the process of a refurb - start again

got a stream off the hill behind it, flows through the grounds, so no surprises there (apart from not having done a thing about it - known issue)

Lot to be said for living on high ground :giggle::giggle:
