Had a decent fall of rain last hour or two.

we had about 5 minutes of large 'splodges' .. and it was gone ... been expecting thunder all evening - very muggy .. but now't so far

This is my 3 minute warning to pack up quick. Thunder, lightening and a bit of rain, less than 2mm which dried up in an hour.

we had a sky like that tea time .... came to sod all ... have had a few big spots this afters, but again came to nothing and skirted around us

hammered down here from half midnight for a couple of hours .. air smelt nice and 'fresh' we needed it ..... beautiful morning here again 26C

Had 33 today, too bloody hot to be doing work propping a barn. Horse flies out with fierce determination today as well.

Stable yard/riding school we completely rebuilt a few years ago looking good in the sun though.

We had plenty of thunder, but the rain hardly enough to dampen the dust down, but speaking to other not far away had enough for some surface flooding

29C here at 10 this morning, but has cooled through the day after some serious down pours .. have had a thunderstorm rotating around us for circa five hrs since two o'clock ... not long stopped .... think we've had enough wet stuff for a few days now .. 'sposed to be scorchio tomorrow

Flooding down the valley, drifts of gravel across the road up the valley, shaking terrier due to the thunder........ half an inch of rain so far here in the middle .......poxy blasted weather

Also a nice example of strap pointing .....don't see much of that these days .....probably "listed"

So I’m down in the south west on Holiday this week with the other half and dogs. Started off a bit misty but a nice temp over the last few days. Also came across one of those tilting and rotating devices

Strap pointing is the enemy of stone especially cement strap pointing, the corner will be re built with lime and traditionally pointed with churn brush knocked back pointing.

The farmers have had the irrigation system running at full capacity
