Sick of the absolute scaremongering in press ATM...every article is like this is caused by man made climate change. Anyone would think they worried folk don't believe them😆

aye 20-22'd do me all year round ..... they seize on any scrap of opportunity to justify their tax blitz and headlong dash into chaos ...

some interesting reading on our planet that seldom gets a mention

when all the planes got grounded for the massive volcanic eruption several years ago it was observed that the forces involved had influenced its obliquity .... but very VERY little was ever referenced by the media ... didn't fit the agenda

They should be worried that people don’t believe them, because it’s a load of bollox!
I wonder how many people that are moaning and scaremongering, also jet off abroad to enjoy similar temperatures and pay for the privilege! 😂

People do though. I would post up a screenshot of one of the local fb this morning but I think it would give most members an aneurysm contemplating the stupidity

I can't find it now. I think it might have had to be taken down. It was an essay starting with chastising people for thinking this hot weather is not to do with pollution. Then moving on to that it may only be two days but what will you do if it's a week / fortnight or 100 days.
Continuing with our need as a human race to forward plan for these weather issues. But if your forward planning extends to buying ac you are stupid as the heat will make the electric fail and you are further contributing to climate change. Then a rant about us all doing 1 little thing is a stupid theory and that we all need to go net zero. The only way we are going to see the end of the month is by everyone finding a way to live a happy lifestyle whilst producing less than 2t of CO2 a year. The government should be encouraging this by telling the older generation they are killing the kidiwinks and they won't see there grandchildren again unless they go green.

It's a shame it was deleted as I think it would have been quite an amusing one. But it is worrying that people actually think this way. Obviously read to much msm. And are completely gulible and incapable of own thought.
I fully believe in being efficient in everything we do but most of this is just utter bs

Bang on...I agree we need to stop wastage etc and use common sense measures.
Listen to @JD450A FFS 👌😆

But I worry more about humanity killing itself by sheer stupidity than climate change 😒.

There is a balance of course. I wholy disagree with the amount of concrete we needlessly poor onto the ground. Every time we do a foundation the footings seem to be bigger. When we could look at alternative ways to build flexible house that can tolerate a bit of movement like they did a few hundred years ago. But I disagree with the totalitarian monitoring of things. And even more on the taxing of things. If it's bad for the environment taxing it doesn't make it better. All high tax on vehicles means is making those with less money have ever shitter cars

@LKSF are you happy now?😫

The plants are :) For them it's pretty much perfect atm, a bit of warmth, bit of sun, some rain and we've got all sorts of veg coming through.
It's not enough to even put a trickle into the reservoirs which are well down. Quite a few people on the Pennines who rely on springs for their water are running dry.
We had a big day here today with umpteen families and about 24 people, the forecast was dire, heavy rain most of the day. Luckily it was completely wrong and the rain cleared at lunchtime to leave sun and clear skies. Kids were learning to drive excavators, dads driving dumper trucks and 4x4s around the fields as were the teenagers in the latter.
It was a good day.

Dug 2.4 down and it's dry almost dust , top 1m is just dust and rocks
Likewise here in NE Essex - top 1m or so (usually clay and sandy loam) is rock hard and dry.
A few days ago, I had to dig a hole to bury a horse ready for when the vet is called....
....knowing how tough it was going to be for my mini, I set aside a whole day.
But got it ready by lunchtime after hitting slightly moist stuff below about 1.7m
BUT my biggest concern is the Wild Fire Risk
Met Office Warning
Many of our neighbours have got overgrown poxy conifer type hedges right up to their sheds and houses
