Given 37 here Thursday.. don’t fancy laying handmade bricks in that, bad enough keeping them from sapping the mortar in damp weather! Will Sit in digger with ac on and use tractor/dump trailer rather than dumper 😎

Exactly, in fact early this morning I was chilly. Don't get me wrong its warm but nothing more that what I'd expect from it been summer time.

Tbf I don't think it feels quite as humid as usual. It's hot but I dont feel I'm begging for a thunderstorm like most years so the humidity drops. Mind you the last years I've been in long trousers long sleeve shirt hard hat and all the rest. Currently in shorts and the only bloke on site wearing a t shirt

breeze was positively chilly here yesterday ... but 27 out of it which was fairly warm ... same temp.s today but very little breeze ... was a comfortable day .... all round the house is still pleasant with the heat coming off all the masonry ... just been down the drive to the post box in tee shirt and shorts and was pleased to get back close to the house ... noticeably warmer
That's what I was thinking, it's been hot today but nothing like they were saying it was going to be

It's just another lefty climate change propaganda campaign imo. Sure was damn site warmer when I was a kid 🤔
Could just be a change in materials but when I was a kid visiting grandparents in Ireland, it use to be so hot the tarmac would stick to your trainers

when I was late teens you could sit outside at 11 at night sweating ... ride the bike home from the pub in shirtsleeves ... the heat of the day doesn't seem to stick around anymore .. was only 13C here last night at eleven around the house, emitting the day's heat from the walls, etc. ... lot colder away from the house

All this scaremongering about a bit of sunshine, just another excuse not to do a day’s work. While I’m writing this there’s a doctor (needs to be a doctor on the BBC, doesn’t it) saying when it gets hot we need to drink more.

I'm quite liking the heat, ice cubes melting a bit quick but on the bonus side scaffolders are working over the way and yelping at the heat of the tubes 😉

beats paying to fly off somewhere to find it :giggle:
Agree with that Gra - in fact it will be a few years before we fly off somewhere again. So much to see and do in the UK 😁
Decided Not to book any work while this hot weather continues......

......this morning cleaned and topped up the old pool after a mammoth session over the weekend
Yesterday was perfect weather for our 46th Wedding Anniversary Grand Family BBQ

.....some of our 6 grandchildren joined me for a nice refreshing swim. Then it was BBQ and beer 🍻

TODAY - Ryan and me have worked in the shade here until about 1030hrs then chilled out - pool cleaning and swimming.
Lunchtime it was at about 33c in the shade - we are in the Amber Warning zone being nearer the coast.
The house with windows closed is holding at 24/25C.
Said to Sharon, do you know with this nice weather it's just like being on holiday 😎
