Haven't had any serious rain here for months, could really do with some now.
PM me your postcode .... I'll redirect what's currently dropping out the sky here ... have had 1/2" hailstone storms, absolute deluges of rain and some spectacular lightning bolts this afters .... interspersed with brilliant sunshine for the odd ten minutes ... enough to lull you into thinking it's clearing up  ... get out there and down it comes again ... some proper winds bringing it in real quick .... 's nigh on July FFS :cry:

Thanks, but If the forecast is to be believed we've got some on the way Mon & Tues, had a good half hour soaking yesterday evening which has helped.
You need to get your workshop built ;)

Similar here. Bright sunshine for a bit then next time you look out the window it's black as night and pissing it down. Hate weather like this. If it's going to rain id prefer it just rain all day so I can write the day off and be done with it.

ain't they just .... Elan Valley was damned near empty in '83 or '84 ... got paper pix of it somewhere, Lyn Brianne and Talybont was the same .... bottoms hadn't been seen in decades
I remember one in N.Yorks that got so low the village they'd flooded to create the res' came back into view, was a strange sight.

I'm in fontainebleau this weekend and saw a car parked up that must be a write off from what must of been hailstones.

anyone get the thunderstorm that passed over us at 4.45 today ...... unbelievable rain ... massive claps and lightning ... anything that can hold water outside is now 30mm deeper than it was at 4.30 this afternoon .... I'd looked at Pam's oxy bottle bottom goblets, lunch time and can swear to the difference in levels after the 20 minute or so deluge ... unreal wet !! :oops:

oh and talking to someone in the Dordogne yesterday ... their area looks like a war zone ATM ... golf ball sized hail stones ... holes in roofs, glass out of houses, cars, etc with them beaten to a pulp ... a right 'kin mess .

Pam tells me that it's possible to buy hail damaged cars from insurers in Oz ... regular occurrence apparently .. @AusDave ???

Haven't heard of it for a while, but huge savings when available.
Given the world shortage of cars, I'd think they'd all be sent to the panel shop now.
