been like it for years now though .... couple of decent days followed by pissy wet for weeks .... April seems to be our best month the last few years ... 'tis forecast to pick up again tomorrow, but not the temp.s and as you say ..... downhill again from Tuesday on - 2 min.s a day roughly............ Welcome to your new extreme climate.
Last April was shite though, March was like Summer and we all got excitedbeen like it for years now though .... couple of decent days followed by pissy wet for weeks .... you're lucky thenHaven't had any serious rain here for months, could really do with some now.
The plants don't think so! I've shifted thousands of litres of water to keep them alive this year so far. You can't complain really, you do live in the wettest part of the UK.you're lucky then![]()
' course I can complain .... poxy weather ... you're welcome to a bigger shareThe plants don't think so! I've shifted thousands of litres of water to keep them alive this year so far. You can't complain really, you do live in the wettest part of the UK.
Must get working on my irrigation system....
Not a bad day here thus far...spells of sun. Tad breezy.' course I can complain .... poxy weather ... you're welcome to a bigger share.... morning started well ... now lashing down again and circa 25mph wind to go with it .... feels like October / November ... back in a sweatshirt, with two layers under that .. inside!! .... 's the 25th June FFS !!! .... should be out there in shorts an' tee shirt basking in the sunshine
must say, that despite the deluges, the water table is well down here ... we have a small spring which appears after prolonged dry spells on the side of our drive, when the table drops and it has started to appear ... not as 'strong' as it has been in previous years, but give it time ...
also there's a small pond half way up the main drive which I have never seen so dry.. ever
... gonna have to go investigate what's happened to the little stream that keeps it wet ... 'praps it's dropped into a sink, as the ground's dried
.... we have a lot of sinks and risings around us. Doesn't 'compute' with the level of rain we have had the last few months ... should be overflowing
