Nice cutting of the stepsWhat sort of stone would you go for?
Only got small kit on site and it's between two houses and against a retaining wallView attachment 67302

We have always done them type 1 with 150mm strip of pea gravel against the wall.Type3 mot ( reduced fines) up to a retaining wall…![]()
I use this kinda stuff against retaining walls/houses..We have always done them type 1 with 150mm strip of pea gravel against the wall.
Can get 75mm and down clean, will get some of that next, although can't back fill the whole thing at the moment as waiting to hear back on whether got to dig the rest of the retaining wall on at the front and back, so back filling to the top would mean having to dig some back out to ramp back in
Did offer to install it, but they only want to reinstate as was originally installed, so just re coating the dpm and pointing a few perps they never bothered to fill when it was originally builtI use this kinda stuff against retaining walls/houses..
Means you don’t need to back fill up with pea gravel.. only around the drain.

They don't like to wonder too far from the "as built" spec, if the wall had to come out they might have changed their mindsI use it too - delta ms - then gravel and drain.
My thinking is why not when you're in there![]()

those trails're brilliant ..
closest thing round here, that my mates and I used to ride are the forestry roads, but used to get bollocked if caught.
Also used to ride some of the numerous coal tips in some places - again got bollocked if caught ..
Gwent plod used to have guys out on Hodna XRs at weekends patrolling some ..
knew a lot of the plod bikers who rode them, fortunately.
was out one weekend on one - totally out of sight or ear shot - got back to the car and trailer and had a ticket on it for 'parking on common land' - bar stewards - was an expensive afternoon, that
that gate and flood defence wall in that town they went through were bloody impressive, eh?
built by the Corps of Engineers ...Yes looked more like a blast door. I googled it as it was jolly impressive.
