that was a favourite trick of ours when I worked the doors if we had any trouble we would line up behind me and run though the crowds to it anyone not quick enough to move was hit by the human d11 and knocked flying
think we caused more fights then we stopped

Lots of folk on the net using the Chinese CUT50's off ebay. Usually get them for under £150. Try to get it from a UK supplier so you can return easier if it goes on the blink. Claims to cut clean up to 12mm and can sever up to 19mm.

Amazon no longer sell them and one of the two reviews does not look good .......

I bought a cut 50 in nov 2011, used every now and again until april when it went wrong @ a cost of £22 postage and a few phone calls it was sent back and a replacement sent out.
after 6 weeks of occasional use the second machine went wrong, this also was sent back @ cost again with a letter quoting that i did not want the machine any more as i found it unreliable and not up to the job it was ment for , To my surprise they sent it back again apparently repaired, after a couple of calls stating i did not have any faith in the machine i put it together again to try it out and low and behold it does nt work, and now they expect me to pay out again for the postage for what i class to be a pile of rubbish, i would not recomend any one buy this machine un less they have time and money to waste."

anyone who buys a unit with this style of torch ..... this is a cheap pile of consumables ........

I cut Pam's swallows with Alex's lil' 40A, I think it is and it worked fine on 3mm stainless .. tried it on some 12mm MS and it worked after a fashion, for about 3 minutes .... then took 40 min.s to cool down and come back on ..... for a while I thought it'd gone south and was gonna have to buy the man a new one usual rule of thumb ..... you get what you pay for
..... for lightweight duty up to, I'd guess 6mm, chinky might be ok .... don't pin yer hopes on finding a UK seller though ..... at least, not at 150 quid If you do send me a link please

Yeap its definitely take a chance money.... some folk love them and have had no problems, then some get bother within a few months, its pot luck.... The equivalent R-Tech machine is about 400 inc vat so you might be better sticking the 150 towards that, unless your good with a soldering iron to fix the chinese machineok .... 10 mins hunting ..... can not find a UK seller on ebay ... all chinky china man addresses

Some people can't get on with them and can cut better with gas as you can see better the cutting point but I think it might be a stuck in their ways thing and not giving the new tech a chance

Ultra steady hands or templates required for real success with a plasma ..... and a tool that will perform the task in hand .... gas is far more tolerant but also has its limits like plasma does ..... can't cut 1" plate with a 1/64" nozzle .... same with plasma ..... if it ain't big enough it won't do the job and doesn't like rust or paint .... when you get used to it, if it's up to the job it's bloody good though

Probably not much in it between gas and plasma, efficiency wise...plasma really comes into it's own for automation though...get an R-Tech plasma then in future you can upgrade to the table, computer and the gantry then your cuttin parts while having your lunch

used to have this little Kerry Forge magic eye profile cutter ..... ran it on gas mostly - Oxy/propane, but also had a straight plasma torch for it too ..... produced amazing results ..... would only do 24" x 18" but for small components was great ..... they did do a bigger version, but this was more than adequate for my requirements ..... must've ceased trading, 'cos Google can't find them at all today .... were based in West Wales somewhere .... still have a VHS promo vid of it somewhere

Damn you have all the toys eh? I have seen a few youtube videos similar to yours, pretty nice set ups. .... long gone I'm afraid .... I know where, but doubt he'd want to part with it .... sold most of my gear when I became ill and had to pack up ...... not often a day goes by and regret not keeping summat or other It was a very handy and quick to use lil' tool TBH ..... it'd follow a 1mm black line all day
...... used to pencil a drawing first and then go over exactly what I wanted with a Rotring 1mm drafting pen ..... only thing you had to be careful about was whether the laser followed the inner or outer edge of the line, as it made a difference to the finished size of the cut item .... bit of practice soon had that sussed though .... always used a rule / compass / french curves, or it'd follow a shaky hand impeccably Footer block 1
