Hope your office works out, your maybe in a bigger way than us and but we have an office at yard in corner of main shed, got it all done out tiled, heating, plastered, furniture, paint and kettle and weve not been in it yet to actually do anything other than a brew, we still sit at end of kitchen table at home among a heap of papers 🤷 🙄
Haha I have the same thoughts , we’ve a small child around the house now, it just doesn’t work doing it like that anymore.. she mashes everything of hers into everything she shouldn’t.. doesn’t end well!

A few vodkas under 40
Compared to the cost of a new pickup it doesn’t seem massively over priced, but maybe that’s just down to the used resale prices making the cost to change a lot easier to swallow lately!

Been there this morning.... me at one end of table pricing - my daughter's at the other studying for her baccalauréat and my wife trying to find space to put some dinner on the table .... office and her room both empty 🤦

Dunno really - my new top-spec Hilux was £28k plus vat (though in fairness I have no idea when I’ll see it, I ordered it in March!).
Land Rovers are incredibly expensive for what they are. Very nice things to be in, but no way could I justify the cost.

you must of had a good discount (y) , I played around on the online configuration, one of the top trims only to get the bigger engine, and a few options, tow kit etc and it come out just under 40k, and the defender 90 commercial with not many boxes ticked about 42/43k

Yeah, that was with an 18% NFU discount (though was offered 17% by a dealer straight off the bat anyway).
Invincible X auto with metallic paint and towbar, no other options. Admittedly I’ll have to put a canopy on it on top of that price.
I’m tempted to flog it for profit when it eventually lands as I’ve managed without for 12 months now!
I’ve also ordered a 4x4 MAN TGE but will believe it when I see it as they won’t even take a deposit off me (despite regular insistence on my part).

I did buy this for my wife for Xmas but it’s not work related (I can’t see how this can go through the books in any way sadly - any ideas @fred?!?!)

Ordered an invisible x with Canopy last week
£29,500. Should be here next October
I think u get the extra back on the resale value of a landy but the main reason is I'm not a fan of double cab trucks. Landy replaced my nissan terrano swb.

Basic model. 200hp. 8speed auto
Only options I took were towbar and big mudflaps
Bought aftermarket alloys as LR want 4k for them
How does the standard engine tow? I have considered one for next year when my Hilux gets to 10, could only justify the base like yours though! It would have to blow me away to get me to part with my Hilux mind you !!

The 2.4 is really numb and takes a lot of driving imo
Roughly the same hp as the 2.5 but the power band seems tiny by comparison constantly changing gear.
Way harder to rag the hell out of than the 2.5. in reality they probably go the same but it just feels numb.

Said it before ..but if the Grenadier materialises and is half what they promise on paper it looks like a decent contender. Proper chassis,6cyl BMW lump practical upgraded old defender basically but not built here so probably actually reliable😂 got a refundable build slot on one so let's see.
Starting to see a few new defenders in "working garb" round here and dragging ifors etc
