Could always go back to à standard tipper which is much cheaper but as ive said before à hookloader makes things so much easier its incomparable.

complex piece of kit ;)
That it might be but it does make you wonder at times whether the extra value on a second hand complete outfit is getting towards being as much as getting new gear put on a old chassis cab?

Yeah I know you can put a camera on but that will be nearly always be splattered in s**t/grime to the extent you cant see anything in it anyhow.

Mount it up high on top of the cab looking down or even a stalk onto the hook gear depending on the design of the hook gear.
Keeps it out the muck and is useful to see if the skips empty without getting out the truck. Also nice to be able to check load security.
Alot of wagons round here have gone to 3 rear facing cameras. One above cab, and 2 at the rear
Plus 1 or 2 on the nearside

Over here thats what everyone seems to do ... lots of firms specializing in it, mine was new gear on an reconditioned chasis cab.
against my old Nissan Atleon 3.5t

Ive à ballache of à year coming up and hope its worth it....... intend going from 7.5t hookloader to 12-14t version and dropping from 8t digger to 5-6t digger and so I can move myself ... oh and tiltrotator.

Everything is stupid money 🤦and it's worse here than u.k.

Off to look at this when it comes out of local workshops in a week or 2 ... its a 12t gvw - year 2011 - 150 klms - auto box - with a 5.8t payload (apparantly)with a tipper body on.

Don't like the fact there is no back windows and that's before seeing it.

New defender commercial would be nice or a disco 4 commercial. But I'm skint now, so see what it brings!

What are the disco commercials like ? Are the recent models any good or are the older ones better ?

Anything pre 2008, under 18t and Volvo is like getting blood out of a stone for bits I hate to say. Part of the reason my little Volvo is sat.... I'd never find another that spec for sensible money, but theres no point putting it on the road as it'd bankrupt me unless there was the right job for it!

My ones not a commercial but would be very similar, I like comfy to drive not too clumsy. I know afew folk who have the new shape commercials and they like them but there's more space in the disco 4.
Like any Landover you have to be prepared for repair bills
