Whats on the shopping list this year ?

For me have the leccy van coming, and trying to convince myself we need a 10 ton JCB digger and hire in the little ones as needed. Some tax to lose so its digger or a roller.....

New defender commercial would be nice or a disco 4 commercial. But I'm skint now, so see what it brings!

I too wouldn't mind a change of vehicle, been suffering with the old disco 4 for 7 1/2 years. Bloody new vehicles are not cheap and on short supply and I've convinced myself I'll wait for thing to come back a bit but how long do you wait 😬

Pickups are gradually approaching something sensible or atleast newer ones are.
It's the older they are the more unrealistic the price is.

Knowing what pickups if uncared for look like underneath at 10 year old changes you're attitude to values of them. Up to 5 year old are pretty easy to put a figure on. Any older than that it's mainly down to condition as a lot will be too far gone underneath without a lot of work to guarantee another 10 year out of.

Well we know what yours looks like! :ROFLMAO:

I got very lucky with my '57 Ranger, despite being used for gritting only slight superficial paintwork rust that's not got any worse. And underneath is mint. That was 4.5k five years ago with 80'000 on the clock, shes now on 130,000

To be fair from what I've seen lately pre 2010 seem to have faired better on the whole than post 10. I don't know when manufacturers were tightened up on emissions from manufacturing process but I'm guessing about that time. Mine ain't looking to bad now mind.

In my eyes really when you are looking at a vehicle more than 10 years old it should really be about 1000 quid per year of usefull life left. But seeing 15yo ex farm trucks that have barely scraped through an mot for the past 5 years up for sale for over 4 grand does not make sense
