Getting the 6” across the lower site to catch rain water. Keeping it nice and deep as I want to wrap a French drain up around the back of the shed at some point and need the fall.
BILs new (to him) U50 Kubota is preforming well.
Little borrowed KX61-3 is helping nicely as well.

I had a play on someones recently when he was out looking at a chimney pot for us . This one was sub £300 for a basic set up, and it’s SO easy to use and phenomenal picture quality.
I can 10/10 recommend as an essential tool
You can get bigger and better and all sorted of packs with cases and spare batteries etc.. of course all for more £

what sort of phone does it need to use with it and does the phone need to have internet connection?
I have no 'apps' whatsoever on my Nokia

I’m using an IPhone but think it will work with android with type C.
Inbuilt Screen maybe better if you’re a Luddite!

That’s like the one I have .mine is mavic not mini though . It’s very easy to use and great picture quality as well . I’m still learning to fly it well though

Got to be careful anything sub 250g doesn't need a license to operate, think a magic would need A2 c2c. Depending on the weight depends on the category and rules about locations etc. All need to be registered with CAA and display there number.

CAA are changing the rules with new categories but not looked into that or what involved for my autel nano

Even the little DJI needed an operators ID and a fliers ID and an online test . Not a bad thing TBH

Mine too . I just got it all when I got the drone . It wasn’t a big deal . A few height restricted zones on account of airport proximity but the drone tells me before I fly it anyway

Last couple days of this phase. BIL getting levels sorted out on upper middle yard, layers of lumpy moist clay then layers of this lovely stuff. Bit of faffing to get it all sorted so the clay is buried deep under the fill section and the stone is on top where it needs to be .
Reckon should have added/created about 1000m2 of external yard that should be good enough to take any forklift once we’ve finished messing about with it , and not too much bought stone . Think we are still under 200ton of stone bought in so far over the last 2 years , and 0 Tons of material taken off site.
Quite a lot of derv used though!

BIL packed up Tuesday night . Probably put about 70 hours in.. so that will be a nice bill
Got my service trench in and levels of the new yards more or less where they need to be.
Today was my last day on the job for a few weeks as life/wife and work all need to take their turn.
Got the Wacker over the stoned yard and access ramp.. then spread 16t of nice scalpings about which didn’t go far, then wacker again.
I can now drive down to the shed and back in with van and trailer, and drive out which is progress. Will need some good rain to see how the levels and drainage work out.
Strapped a heavy piece angle to tilt grader to use for scratching about, worked better than I expected. Only 6ft ish long, could do with a bit longer I think.
Washed and greased the borrowed machine.
So much left to do . 10 years worth of Saturdays I think. Nearly 2 years in on the project already.

Back for a short days poking about. The neighbours Kubota is back with its nice new tracks . I gave him £500+vat towards the cost .
Emptied the trailer and converted it back to flatbed. I’ve had this galvanised stillage knocking about for years. Perfect for storing the sides and mesh for the trailer . Hung a sling and block up to help mount the jib. Goes on okay but think I will need to remove the forks to lift the concrete panels in order to get balance.
Hoses for the Kooi forks are off to be replicated as all look poor and it’s having a LOLER next week.
Cleaned out the gully at lower end of site . Levelled out part of the lower access track ready for some scalpings or planings.
Sad to report that this years baby trees are not doing very well, presumably due to the dry spring, even in our ‘moisture retaining soils’. Only 20% showing life. They’ve had a few waterings as well. Last years lot were 95% survival rate

Maybe! Needs to be on a pallet really so easy to store away.
