I think I`ve seen somewhere they plan on reprofiling the edge of the bank and and going to winch the other boats up and do the same as that one to re float them, guess that could be the job for the spider.

Saw a couple of time lapse videos of it. Having the right gear for the job and knowing how to use it made it pretty straight forward.

It doesn’t need to be welded like your Aussie built received hitch (why probably isn’t CE marked/legal in the UK!)

It just needs more than the initial two mounting tacks!

Thats a factory procedure error, not a welding error.
