I would be surprised if it’s a Perkins, as by 1999 the only Volvo-badged Perkins were industrial and marine engines. Might have been old stock, sometimes manufacturers bought and held engines for a couple of years before using them, especially when an engine range was about to stop manufacture. Be interesting to see a picture, and have the serial number., then I could find out.I’m sure it’s a Volvo enginenever seen a Volvo truck with another brand of engine in

4cyl 135hp, maybe not the most powerful but seems easy enough on juice after driving it home yesterday
