jus spotted the blonde advertising it so sadly may be a scam - assume it's worth a lot more than that????
Newport = scam. No idea why, they use both the Welsh and the IOW one.

What man as done, man can do, what never has, maybe

I have enquired about a new one but as I said they just pushed other options at me instead.

The idea that I can potentially use a mini loader for more than just forks does appeal.

I've a few different things to look at over the next couple of weeks which also may suit the bill.

I don't nessasarily want to buy somthing that only suits moving 1t pallets and bags for these specific jobs when I could use it for other jobs and potentially get other customers asking for it too when they see what it is.

Who knows, we will see what pans out over the next couple of weeks

Looked at the avant today, can say I was rather impressed. The bloke demonstrated what it can and can't do with a bulk bag and did it a lot better than I was expecting.

He knows his stuff about them too, I think he said he'd been using them for over 20 years and used to have around 9 of them out on hire at one time.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
I'd bet that's a half decent lifter -- don't think that is overly priced - certainly well shod and very towable - turkey shed machine??? pity it's damned near in Carlisle -- tidy little 8015 listed too

I'd be giving the big multi 1 a go too if you can
Second that- good strong machine that will lift as much as the avant for less money.

I’d avoid the 8.5, you don’t need the extra hp and all the associated problems. The 8.4sk with Kubota engine is a good all round size for what you want to do.

I think when I was looking they had just brought a 10 or 11 series out better spec than the Avant but there was only 1 in the country. Like I said previously I was concerned then as there was only 1 dealer maybe 2 in the UK and they had not long been appointed. It looked like at the time M1 couldn't keep a dealer. I think that has changed now?

755.

With what I've been told is a decent discount. Albeit more than I wanted to spend.

Has kohler engine and dpf....so not sure what to make of that.

Its around 400kgs heavier than the 640 I was looking into. Weighs 2t. So still easily transportable and I can get the e10 and one on the lorry.

It's a only a few mm wider than the 640. But more umph and more lift capacity.

I've gone from looking at older to new stuff. They seem to depreciate very little so that's something to consider I suppose.
Thing is, even with the work I've got booked in this year where such a machine is needed, I'd also have to find work with other customers for it too. If it was an older cheaper one I'd probably not be concerned if I didn't.

Many things to consider. I do see why people convert to them and don't look back tho.

Honestly we wouldn't have been able to do a lot of our jobs or if we could would be way more labour intensive than with it

I reckon that’s the size you need.

The multione 8.4 sounds like the equivalent- around 2t with the counterweights. But just a simple 26hp Kubota four pot. Should think considerably cheaper too- multiple salesman have told me that going up to an engine that has to have emissions on it adds over 3k to a machine.

What are they quoting? I paid 27k for my 8.4 with 50 hours ex demo I think four years ago. Suspect they are 32k plus these days.

And the rest.

A 640 is about 35k and a 755 is about 44.5k.
Looking at used on eblag they are only a few k cheaper for 3 to 4 years old.

The 755 I've been quoted for is 40k Inc bucket and forks (New, unused) I'm told avant is more expensive than multione equivalents.

Makes my new cat 301.8 at 14.750 I got last year, the absolute bargin of the century.

just to muddy the waters, with prices like that is it worth looking at the mini telehandlers.
Also seeing as you have the lorry there are some other options that might work out better on a second hand machine. You wouldn't be able to take the mini as well. But Kramer, Schafer, wiedermann and even jcb do machines a touch to heavy to tow. Although the same dimensions as multi one/avant And therefore second hand values seem less.
