My truck has ‘hill assist’ so when you stop leave it in gear (it knows how heavy the load is through the air suspension pressure) so has the right gear selected when you take your foot off the brake pedal it hold it for a second or so to give you time to be on the go pedal

works well normally, but if the weight is over the rear of the trailer so not much on the drive axle and your pulling off while turning sharp it thinks your running light so finds a higher gear then the trailer axles start to scrub while turning and it all goes to shite

so a manual lower gear needs to be chosen
