I’ve bought quite a lot of stuff on the back of low bids, but always politely explain my reasoning and never see my arse when bids are rejected. They are proposed with a ‘no offence intended, thank you either way’ caveat. No is no, and that is fine.
yeah i diddnt see what this one was up for. Obviously what bidding does it give you both a mindset.

Our price for example is on the internet, so by you giving a price can allow for some negotiation depending how far away it is.

Its tricky but honestly when you deal with it daily it gets mighty boring

are you vat / eori registered?
No unfortunately not. Just a private individual. My transporter has said a CRM should be sufficient, which he can supply but most sellers want a VAT number and EORI number. The EORI I can get, but not a VAT number.
I understand why the sellers are hesitant, they don't want it bouncing back on them. I have spoken to HMRC, and they have said I can use the personal export scheme......except no one seems to have heard of it 😂😂😂.

Not sure what that is, but i know for instance that if we bring an item into N.I without out an invoice we can declare that its not for resale.

Thats more for customs than vat though

I think it's easier for you as you are a part of the UK. Post Brexit is a minefield taking things to France. It is what it is, just got to get on with it, but I really don't want to pay VAT at both sides of the channel, it makes more sense to buy in France if that's the case.

as long as you pay the vat it isnt really relevent but people not in the know will flap.

Speak with Katie at AP shipping, mention my name she will be able to sort everything for you for a very small amount

Just spoken with Katie, thanks for the introduction Ross. She was most helpful but said that importing in to France is a nightmare, and the last private individual she helped gave it up as a bad job eventually.
She did however explain that most professionals will reimburse the VAT paid in the UK upon successfully importation and production of said import paper work.
More food for thought and avenues to explore.......

It's a nightmare first time you do it even with all the bloody numbers, I had fench agent who didn't know his arse from his elbow - bloke I bought from wasn't used to the process - and it all tested Katie's patience and mine - she was very good but fed up with me thats for sure :)

Makes no odds really, the cylinder is oversized to compensat. My old terex mini would lift well.
no bigger than the dipper ram Doob - if it were 'oversized' I'd agree

My little Terex is a good lifter, the rams on it look big next to other machines in its weight class. Shaeff was a good machine that got spoilt by Terex taking over and applying Terex Added Tax to parts, now that they have no interest in mini diggers it is not that difficult to find OEM parts.

Interestingly terex are now distributed by yanmar! Same old machines.
