I can excuse people who know they can't drive by a Kia piccanto or similar. I can accept that it's difficult to live without a car in a lot of this country and people need to learn. But why on earth people go and buy a car that they cannot drive is beyond me.

One of my customers has a VERY hi spec Dmax pre 21 plate . All the bells and whistles and some fancy yellow shocks. Cost him about 35K more than my 65plate poverty spec. Has exactly the same engine and performance. Waste of money.. 8 have a photo of them together..Will try to find it.

And that is how a free market operates 😊😊long may it last.
Tbf though it's pathetic the engine options available over here... surprising isn't it how the V6 rangers and roks are a nightmare to get hold of...but 2.0l ten a penny 😂

my two pennyworth...from being fortunate enough to live in the sticks..
law of physics states you've more chance of surviving in a big well built motor than a small pile of crap ...that's enough for me.
Think if you check the Volvo XC90 stats they still claim no ones ever been killed in one .
Life's a rat race I'm afraid ...and I intend to survive as long as I can....there's far to many twats about and however good a driver you are there always some coked up polish driver watching YouTube with your number on it.

Arctic trucks one? Here’s my old one next to an arctic version, which was basically lift kit/arches/wheels/tyres I believe!

Interesting trip out with a mate to look at a 20 year old version of a Grenadier 😆
Santana Ps10, 2.8 iveco engine. Rock solid chassis, sturdy body work, dashboard like a 1980s SJ!
Doors were well past their best at the bottom and there's a problem with the gearbox selector so we could only test it in 1st gear, around the farm with no ability to reverse- lucky the turning circle is great 👍
Interior was some seats, some rubber mats and lots of painted steel.
I loved it and its potential but haven't got a space in the 'fleet' for it, and it just wasn't 'talking' to my mate unfortunately. Make a great toy/workhorse for the right person though.

Good lump the old 2.8 iveco engine.

Had a few, all suffered with fuel pressure regulator gauze clogging. But easy fix.

I once bought one of 2 brothers, they were trying to disguise the fault as they thought it was a 2k pump job, I acted daft as I knew it was 40 mins of my time job.
Bought the truck cheap, they were jumping with joy as they thought they'd had my pants down. The following morning I drove past them with a 120 roller in tow behind it...I gave them a friendly beep and a wave.

How many miles ??
And can you fit defender doors as I guess Santana aren't to easy to obtain
No don't think there's any parts compatibility at all.
Probably be cheaper to get a full set imported from a Spanish breaker than a set from a defender anyway 😆
116k miles I think

They aren't just a set of arches though. Decent spec suspension and v capable vehicle for a new truck. Silly money though. Iirc when I priced Hilux it was 60k
Couldn’t see the extra money in what was upgraded over the standard truck though. Loved mine but the Isuzu backup (or lack of!) meant it went before Main warranty ran out.
