Steelwrist do a s30 tilt in hydraulic or manual flavours no idea on cost though, as getting prices from steelwrist is similar to getting quotes from the nfu
I had prices back from their dealer Colin Stone pretty quickly.

From memory I think the mini tilt was around £2400 which I didn’t think was too bad.

Looks like I’m about to wind up with another Steelwrist/Engcon mismatch on the 86c- just a case of what’s available secondhand at the time!

Is your proloc worn out.I had one which started on an ec15b,then another ec15b and then onto an ec18c.i then went onto a ecr25d so no longer run smaller machines.the above hitch done well in excess of 5000 hours and was still good when I sold the last machine.I know the current owner and the hitch is still ok.
nick...
I went into the guts of it for a look , 2 of the four bolts sheared off . The big bolt inside won’t adjust past a certain point . It’s the second one I’ve had and the first lasted longer but had the same fault . They slacken after they have been tightened . This one won’t tighten fully either .

Don’t know about adjusting flows but they are proportional.

I messed about adjusting flows etc on my bobcat- bought the flash screen where you can do it all on buttons and save settings for each attachment. Then realised I never bother switching to saved settings, just have it on max and use the proportional controls.

Yeah dont know but it might be more necessary on the 8t - On 6t tree shear needs full and tilty leaps around with even the gentlest of thumbs if you dont wind it back.
Might well have some control in cab.

Guessing I could put some restrictors in if needed. Otherwise I’d have to see about getting the control system up and running. Was just going to four pipe it.

Quick search for 86c1 says you have some control over flow with 10 presets 🤷‍♂️

Updating this thread has been a while coming for various reasons . Aiden had issues with parts for the build of the hitches so they took a while to build. I also said I’m in no rush 🤦 . Then Aiden’s infamous courier got hold of them and they eventually got delivered a few weeks ago !
I’ve not got the hydraulic hitch fitted to the Volvo yet but the one for the kubota is on and I’m delighted with it. It’s unbelievable how compact it is and it works as smooth as the geith . They get a better grip off the buckets with them being wider . I put the engcon on and the difference in build height is very minimal . It’s really easy to drop it off when I want to as well . There was also a CPS built Nordic bucket on the pallet (cheers Aiden !) and it is lower in profile than the engcon bucket . I had it on the machine today and I actually prefer it to the engcon bucket . I’m hoping to get the Volvo done this coming week so will post up pics of the lot once it’s done .

They are a bloody good hitch.

Have you just bought an engcon to share between the two then?

What did you end up with for a flow divertor on the 1.8t?

I didn’t get that far yet . The prop controls on the 1.8t are only 1service . I will look into it though and see what the cost would be to give it another feed and then decide wether to do it or wait til I replace it and then get the new one specced with both.
At the moment what I’ve done gives me the ability to drop off engcon for trench work and attachments work with kubota , a hydraulic hitch to replace the fecked harford hitch on the Volvo , I can share all the buckets between the machines and the attachments like the breaker and auger will fit both .

6x2 diverter is circa 120-150 quid - plus some plumbing, a push button and some very basic wiring

So you already had an engcon and changed the top half to s30?

This is interesting and I need to explore it further . Are you saying I can divert the oil flow on the machine to be able to give me another flow and return that can be used with another prop control lever ?

sadly not Vin ... a 6x2 diverter will allow you to use one double acting service to supply an alternate function by diverting the flow from say your boom slew to a.n.other set of service lines down the boom - or alternately divert your one prop. service to run a second or even third, etc. function (they can be ganged up to provide more than one 'alternate' ) - BUT it is either / or - so say tilt or rotate on a tilty is possible from one service source
I have a 6x2 on lil' Jakie for either bucket crowd or grab - a press of a button swaps where the oil goes

here's three ganged up - would give you 4 alternate functions - your original plus three other alternates

As it’s a Volvo there’s no aux pedal that you could divert for rotate I suppose?

I’d try a divertor on the boom as Druid suggests, and control it from a momentary (non latching) button on the left joystick.

Cheap enough to try, but if you like it you’ll need another grand for smaller grader at least!
