Anyone fitted a hydraulic hitch on a 1.8t machine ?
does anyone make one that small ?? .. 's one tiny hitch to build it all into -- would take some doing to get enough stroke in a ram to open and close tight :unsure: ....... and hold

Had one on my e19 from new. Loads of manufacturers will do one but if it’s a new machine then do yourself a favour and go s30 from the start.

It’s really handy and I’d never go back to manual. My next micro will have one.

What machine is it?
My wee Volvo ec18C . It’s an old machine but it’s still good and the hitch that’s on it is s**t and I only changed it about 500 hours ago so whilst thinking about a new manual one I thought what about hydraulic . I never thought s30 though . Now you got me thinking as it could share some stuff with the kx27🤔

I think you just found your answer!!!!

Works great between my 2.7 and 1.9, you could even share the tilty if you have a top hitch on the kx

That’s happening , just waiting on delivery from Aiden . I don’t think I can share the tilty though as it’s dedicated pipework and the Volvo only has a tilt circuit . Might be heavy on it as well . Will ask Aiden @CPS if his hurricane hitch can go down to a 1.8t ?

Four pipe or control system?

You won't be dissapointed with the hurricane. Amazing build height. He loves a challange, it wouldnt hurt to ask about a smaller one. @CPS

Whites can't even get standard pin centres right, I wouldn't trust them with S30 (doubt theyve ever heard of it!). Either genuine Steelwrst or Engcon etc or ask Aiden.

Whatever you do, go S30.It's so much better.

Yes 4 pipe system electric control on the pick up . It's also still piped for original hitch so not to much to do to fit Aiden's @CPS hurricane hitch. Spoke with Aiden earlier and he can do the hitch for the wee one so he's supplying both . I don't know if it's worth even looking at plumbing the Volvo though for the engcon . It has a tilt circuit only , switched from the boom slew so no circuit for the rotate.

A 216 takeuchi that I spend a lot of time on had a harford proloc hydraulic hitch on it and I’d have to say it’s brilliant.im suprised the pipes have lasted but it’s a great hitch
nick...
That's interesting Nick as the manual hitch I'm replacing for the second time is the Harford prolok. Maybe the hydraulic version is better

Damn, I was thinking if you meant four pipe then just divert the slew! That’s a bit s**t on Volvos part.

Not being funny but how old is the Volvo? is it time to think about changing the whole machine to a better secondhand unit that you can fully utilise with the tilty? I always thought I’d hardly use mine under the 1.9t but that’s just not the case.

Alternatively I’m pretty sure @CPS could also provide some wizardry (boom mounted cetops maybe) that could give you what you need? He’s priced similar for me in the past and it wasn’t silly money.
