Carb adj on the husky seems to require a special tool, anyone know the correct item to buy.
My Husqvarna just uses the D shaped tool (Walbro carb) which I bought from my local dealer, but worth checking first because I think they also may use a star shaped key.

Long time since last posting regarding this.
Suitable tool purchased and adjustments made.
I’ve noticed that the husky uses a lot more chain/ bar oil than the sthil, approximately one tank of oil per tank of fuel.
Is that what others have found?

Sounds about right - might be that your Stihl wasn’t oiling correctly. Always fill the bar oil when filling the fuel.

My saws have always been about 1:1.
I assumed the tanks were deliberatly matched.
The original oil pump in the 034 was adustable (so I set it to max). After a service, it was replaced with a non-adjustable pump that seemed about the same.

The first saw I ever used (an 08S) also emptied it's tanks at the same rate.

What saw is that? It looks like an 08s on steroids.
070 107cc. The smaller brother to the 090 the largest production saw built and the younger brother to the Stihl Contra the first production one man saw built. That one was bought new by my grandfather in 1968 got another aswell they was used on a double ended bar for milling. Can happily run a 5 footer slow but the torque is mega. Its a duanting task to start it even with the decompressor it takes some pulling them and the 051 are the only ones I have to start on the floor.

Oh - so it is an 08s on steroids :ROFLMAO:
Pretty much I got a TS350 super I imagine alot of lads on here remember those old donkeys which is essentially an 08s with a large air filter and different cutting attachment. We did have an 08s until brother nearly cut his head off (dont ask) and sold it at auction still covered in blood🤣 pic of said ts350 with my homemade water attachment. Worked surprisingly well🤣🤣
