Hi,

Well gone back to the machine, turns out I'd wired the high beam to the side lights. After fixing that, the work lights would not turn on. I then started checking things based on the diagram.

Found out that the indicators are constantly at 12v (expected as the aftermarket relay doesnt seem to have held up).

The work lights had no ground at all despite having worked before. Pulled them out and the wiring on the inside had disintegrated. Touching the loom for the headlights might have disturbed things! Repaired them as best as I could. I spliced the loom and added a ground to the post behind the left hand work light.

The front lights work as they should. Now remains the mystery as to why the rear end isn't getting any power.

That should work, but mostly the grounds run back through the loom.
I'd wired the high beam to the side lights.
Each wire should be uniquely numbered along its length, so that you can identify on the wiring diagram to find it's function.

eg. the low beam wire to the lamp should be marked 834 (probably #0834 )

@Gecko Thanks. So the wires have numbers printed on them? I did notice them on the diagram. Isn't there supposed to be a harness section where the connector pins are matched to the wires? Edit: I am guessing that the ground has let go at some point in its path.

Should do, yes.

Mine is the previous model (last of the non-ECU machines), so plenty of differences to yours.
This diagram shows what your harness (/loom) probably looks like.

I am guessing that the ground has let go at some point in its path.
Easy enough to check. Turn everything on and see if there is any voltage present on the wires the 'should' be tied to ground.
The manual for your series seems to be lacking some info present in mine.

This paragraph "probably" suits yours as well (if so, it'll be useful - if not, it'll make your life difficult. Use with care).

Checked all the fuses and replaced a lot of them too!

By reverse I mean no reverse light.

From what I was told the fwd/reverse relays had some issues in the past but been working ok for a while.
