Hi,

I recently got asked to repair some wiring issues on a JCB 3CX Sitemaster 1999 model. After lots of googling around I decided to sign up.

I am mostly interested in resolving wiring issues, diagnosing faults and figuring out where to get some wiring diagrams.

This is a place where most things are imported and are subject to dodgy repairs, incorrect practices and all sorts of modifications.

Hi Evros, I'm guessing your serial is in the 460000+ range?
The manuals are in the download section.

Hello to all and thanks for all this information and the welcome.

I have been fixing electrical/electronics here and there for agricultural or construction equipment but only sparingly. Also never involved in fault-finding on the actual machines, etc.

I will make good use of the electrical diagram and possibly start a thread with my findings.

Yes indeed, the serial number on that one is 0484219.

Thanks for this. It will be very useful as some findings of mine don't agree with the operator of the machine and from what I can guess.

Mick, hi.

Thanks for jumping in. I will study the wiring diagram and come back to this when I am familiar with the terminology of it.

The main problem right now is electrical, related to lighting, work lights not turning on after wiring in some aftermarket LED headlights (only high/low beam). Also none of the rear light clusters appear to be getting any power, on any setting. The rear work lights work fine. Front/rear indicators also not working (I probed the wires)

The machine itself appears to have had some work done on it with many blown fuses, incorrect amperage and a dodgy relay connection (indicators).

I also forgot to mention, that when the work light switch is pressed the low-beam turns on also, but no work-lights like I said.

When you say work lights do you mean, top of the cab? Back and front?

Indeed, work lights -> top of the cab front and rear.

I will try and get a pic next time I am over. Maybe this afternoon even.

When you say column stick, you mean the light/indicator/wiper stalk on the right of the steering wheel correct?
