I checked the rind gear and thankfully that seems ok. I'm just going to bite the bullet and order a new one....
I could weld some plate on the bottom and flog it to some other poor sod but that would be a bit sh*te of me.
I am not a contractor and I got the machine to do some unpaid work for the Canal & River Trust, thinking buying a machine was more cost effective then renting one for 12-24 months at £1200 a month.
Well you win some & loose some (hope to win one soon).....

You just have to hope once it's fixed it won't need anything else for a while.
I don't know if of any use to you or anyone else, but new genuine lower track rollers for these are a good price at the moment.

It’s what I do!
It was possible to buy the base housing and pinion shaft as separate parts, could ask a dealer! Items 1 and 3 with a new seal 2 on the 803 parts drawing.

So here we are in August and JCB have said they can't get the part...... They have had my £3500.00 for months and no word until the date to supply. F**K JCB what rubbish junk they make. Buy Kubota and don't waste money on British made junk.

Merci

Hi Folks new to this forum , I’ve a JCB 803 and slew motor was leaking got a guy to put seals in and realised damage on one of the sprockets so got one made .. but the guy making It lost a little spacer and can’t get one anywhere . Has any one an old slew motor not working so could salvage the little part ? Thanks
