Reform have won majority control in 10 county councils. If theyre going to be any good then good opportunity to prove it at the council level if they want to gain momentum for the next G.E. There isn't is a party out there that will keep everyone happy, everyone is so fractious and divided these days on what issues they think is important to them.

I don’t think I know a single person who isn’t concerned about migration into this country.

absolutely no question - we are over-run by immi.s with their hands out - legal and otherwise and the 'so called/supposedly' ethnic minorities are taking over - BIG time in many places 🤬🤬🤬
There's a school of thought amongst pockets of society that we should be opening are doors to all and sundry from troubled parts of the world. And naturally the more come over the larger those pockets of society become.

At best these young men are Trojan horses here to hollow out our economy by living 6 to a room & sending all money to the base country. At worst they are an advance guard to then bring more relations in under 'family reunion' - having got here illegally in the first place

A very good day for Reform and those that voted for them!!
It will take a while for there influence to be felt at the councils they run. They have to realize they don’t “run” the council they “guide” it. There will be many inside those councils trying to play games and thwart them. A bit like the way the Civil Service treat the government.
I am hoping for a Reform revolution now that people can see they are don’t just a protest vote!!

Im not so sure. I think reform are good in principle but somehow I don't think they are capable of finishing the job. I also worry that they will pull trump-esq nonsense and do more harm than good. I voted for them last time purely as a protest vote. But not sure I would again if their chances go up. None of the political parties hold my confidence.

Your last sentence is the real problem. We have all lost any faith in the elected elite!!
I follow Reform as a preferred direction of travel compared to the drivel offered up by any of the others!!!

I agree about the preferred direction of travel. I just question their ability and actual intentions. Often groups like this can attract the wrong people. I think maybe a coalition with reform and conservatives might be a better outcome than straight up reform. Or even reform coming a close enough second to give the traditional parties a wake up call.
We really need to watch America and not let the same happen to us.

I'd not worry to much about America ...the rest of the world is obsessed with them to their own detriment.
America will look after itself and I suspect do very well. Anyone with any sense of concern for the way the rest of the west is sliding is watching the US with interest and hope that they can turn the tide.

I do also have this feeling of reform not being ready or "mature" enough yet... They need to break the image of a few old rich fellas in jackets with elbow patches..🫣

ALL labour have to do is get seriously tough on immigration....wtf will that dawn on them..?
Surely the biggest win win?
Save millions in benefits and processing fees etc etc and win the voters ..dare I say it.
Why oh why do we feel we need to pander to these folk who've gone through plenty of civilised western democratic countries to end up here ?
What would possess you to travel across half the globe to end up in shitty bedsit in the east Lancs rain driving an Uber bike ?
