go to your local leccy wholesalers and ask them for a can of switch/contact cleaner -Isopropol I think it's called or summat like that - you want 'the good stuff' ..... pop the cover off your slip ring assembly and give it a good dose -- slew her round a few times and give it a bit more -- rinse and repeat ;);) ... see how that goes (y)

edit
just remembered the trade name of some stuff i used to use a long time ago -- Inhibisol -- was the bollaux ... dare say it was 'nasty stuff' and probably not available any more -- worked bloody well though
Sounds like a date rape drug

Just waved goodbye to the case. Sad to see it go but was the right thing I think

Yeah but the whole getting other people to move kit for me just doesn't work for me. I need to be self sufficient. It's not just the cost of moving stuff around it's the organising- waiting around at both ends- let downs- access etc
How far will you tramp it? Very interested to see how it pans out. I've a long term pipedream of an idea to run a duck on local stuff and slowly building up a bit of a network of contacts etc but at the rate I'm going I'll be druids age and situ prob 😆

Hence why I watched Olly's story pan out 😢😢

The vast majority of my work is in a 10-15 mile radius so I think that would be fine in it- basically be happy to spend up to an hour each way sort of thing I think. It's better behaved on the road then I expected actually- I thought it would be quite noddy and bouncy but it goes fine- just very slow on the hills!
It's cheap to insure to- 3rd party fire and theft is £20 a month to add to existing commercial policy!
I guess it depends what kind of roads you'd be taking it on- would be tedious on A roads but the shitty little lanes around here are so slow going anyway I doubt I'll be much faster in truck and trailer

Looking at ways of leaving it on longer term jobs- could get a lift from the misses. But thinking taking a bike strapped to the machine and ride back- that way I can hold traffic up in both directions😂
Will the misses be happy with you getting a bike🤔
