Road or tet or dual ?
That's why ktm is still with me - last pre electronic - hard to top, really does everything, apart from the trial bike, which I've told the mrs doesn't count

I wouldn't mind a tet type machine, no idea when I'd use it but that's not the point.
I really want to do a load of tet - it literally passes my door (but all of it near here is very dull/easy tbh). I have ridden plenty of the Welsh sections but not as part of the route (if that makes sense?).
My old 990 Adventure does everything I want a bike to do, and there is nothing else about (old or new) that improves upon it in my opinion. And it even crashes well!
I keep looking at 1190R Adventures as they are still very capable but a lot more refined for long motorway/autoroute blasts - I’ve also been tempted by a couple of random rat-bikes (for no other reason than I thought they looked a bit of fun!), and have considered building/commisioning something based around the LC8 engine (as I’ve not seen one done and there are relatively cheap donor bikes available).
But life is busy and money is quickly spent on more important stuff, so these are dreams/ideas/wishes as much as anything else (unless something literally turns up under my nose, in which case a deal may have to be done!).
There is a 450exc in boxes/bits in my shed that I stripped in my last house - we have lived here for 8 years so that gives a sad insight into how much time I give to motorbiking… Am heading to Ireland with a couple of mates for 3 or 4 nights next month - that will be the first time I’ve sat on a bike since I rode to Italy last July. A mate has been using my 990 for commuting for the last couple of months so I’m going to have to drag it back off him soon!
