Here's some info
I saw that and can't believe what completely and utterly useless twats are refusing to drive lorries on the badge and the lot in the comments are all that is wrong with this country.
Dafs give no more problems than any other lorry, in fact in my experience they give less grief than Scania and Volvo. All they do is make a noise when they have a problem which is harder to ignore whereas other trucks just have a light.
They need to be given a 30year old manual iveco that's on its second time round the clock and then see if they re-evaluate their life choices.

I agree, that is mental! If you are an employed driver/operator why would you have an issue with whatever you are asked to drive or operate,I have known plant ops to leave a job over a new machine they didn’t think they would like, both of them complete twats!

less real problems? yes thats fair...but they do enjoy a bit of disco dash!! Panic stations turn it off have a nosey about, then there all gone? or some a range of completely different ones pop up :LOL:

I don't think it's any worse than any other lorry. Scania and Volvos do the same. They just don't have an annoying bong with them.
My mate has a pre adblue Scania p400 hookloader from a couple of years old and it has been an absolute nightmare. The firm I work fora Scania hookloader has had plenty of little things and when the clutch fault came up on the dash it wouldn't turn the PTO on so couldn't get the body off with a skidsteer in it.

that bloody bong is enough to cause nightmares, god it annoyingo_O

Dare say I've a compressor head gasket fault. Ran out of air twice while maneuvering, noticed it was getting abit lazy on idle for building air recently. Totally fine when driving while rpm is up.

Oh well best get it sorted.

relief valve sticking ? or no signs of blow off/leakage ... presume you can hear it chuffing?

No air loss, just a case of it won't build air fast enough to keep up demand while maneuvering. I had it before on my other daf. It's also a prity common issue.

It doesn't make sense unless you realise they have run prodominantly Mercs on there fleet up to now.... Reasonably well specified Mercs.

I suspect they now have standard fleet hire Dafs..... It might not just be comfort..... I've a feeling the mercs where swb to get in places.
