Can I just say that I am not affiliated to any tilty manufacture and the opinions below are mine and I am not getting any thing out of my post.
So £6000.00 is going to get you a basic set up and if you finance over 5 years this would be the point a machine would be moved on if you are doing decent amount of hours
The extra the machine would be worth fitted with an Engcon has got to be a minimum of £1000 more lightly to be nearer £2000.00 so we will say £1500.00 so as not to get into a debate over the second-hand value of your rototilt
Cost to purchase £6000.00
Value at 5 years £1500.00
So cost over 5 years £4500.00
£4500 over 5 years = £900.00 per year 48 working weeks at 40 hours =1920 hours worked per year so £900.00 dived by 1920 hours so this gives you a cost per hour of 47p per hour worked
So add to the equation
Once you have your buckets and attachments fitted up with the S size hitch of your choice you will never have to change then over to different pin sizes and dimensions.
Once you get the hang of it you will move the machine a lot less to do the same work so savings on tracks and fule
The job is easer as you have so many different way to do the same job.
You can use attachments that will make even an average operator look like a star a grading beam being one case in point.

So my thoughts were when I bought mine I need to earn an extra £1.00 per hour to pay for it at the start
What has happened is I am actually getting an extra £5-6 per hour but not on all jobs but I may have to do the first hire for lower rate but the second hire I can get a higher rate. And the jobs I lose I probably did not want anyway.

unless moving to another size range then the tilty could be moved from machine to machine further increasing its 'book' value. Of course would need servicing like anything else.
It's one of those pieces of kit that you 'can' live without but once you have used one for a couple days you just wont want to.
Oh and you will only need 2 buckets, a 600 and grading. Nothing narrower than 600 will go in the trench once the engcon is fitted.

I manage to trench with a 450mm bucket for founds ect and a 300mm trench up to about a 1m deep.
it still surprises me how much time i dont have a bucket on at all now, ripper tooth for if the going gets tough grading beam for stone and top soil spreading. oh and of course a grading bucket expensive but worth it

You won’t get anything less than a 600 to go in the trench because of the ram sticking out to one side.
I’ll take a pic when I’m onsite next. It’s not a massive issue to me as I just do our drainage in 600 now as we don’t do massive runs.

Think you have the bigger unit. I am sure me ec02 will just take the 450 mm bucket. I was measuring it yesterday! !!
I also have the 300mm deep dig bucket which I use for services.

Yes I have 204 with grab, look at the pic and see the ram poking out the side it is a tad under 300mm meaning a 600 bucket just clears it.
