too true. Been to some inductions when they explain and quiz you over extinguishers and their colour, and some other ones that say if you see a fire do not tackle it,you are not a fireman...
When we started work on EV’s some genius turned up with some lithium fire extinguishers. I told him where he could shove them as no-one was going to be trying to put out a battery fire.

" Munich-headquartered Ionity has acquired the land to build and operate a high-power charging station for electric vehicles.
There will be 12 chargers with up to 350 kW charging capacity for ultrafast charging, all of which will be powered by 100 per cent renewable energy for carbon-neutral driving. "

what a load of sh1t ..... how can they possibly say that :mad:

Aber is circa 14,000 ppl ... gonna be some sort of queue to use these, if/when everyone :) ( :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: ) is using leccy ...... assuming they can get near them for all the passing traffic off the A465 next to them
the hydrogen refuelling station they (MCC) built slap bang in the middle of the town has one customer from 40+ miles away - a hideous prototype sled 😡😡😡

Are they thinking long term though or just drawn in by the initial "deal"

Tbh I don't think alot of these vans will last long enough to worry about regardless of make. Lots of parcel delivery companies and traffic management companies using them. As long as they last 3 years.

I think theres going to be more lease deals soon, some articles saying that the electric cars could be worth half of the final payment at end of lease..
Its reached the stage where there are so many unsold and stood in fields production is slowing up..

Im 2500 miles in with my cupra, nice enough car but i have only used public chargers twice so its working for me atm.
Still have had a few journeys driving home tucked in behind a truck at 56mph with the radio and heater off tho rather than charging out and about:ROFLMAO:
The company policy is charge at home and only top up out and about where necessary, just enough to get home as prices are wild and unregulated.(79p per kw in most)
The account card i have was MINA when issued, now allstar have bought them. This opens up more chargers available.
Too many chargers are pay by app only and dont take credit cards. Is this a data gathering exercise? Wierd way to do buisiness to me.
One guy on firm saw chargers available on app 20 miles either direction on map. Drove to one and it was a concrete base with duct hanging out, just poured!!
Drove 40 miles to the other one with 45miles available.. Too stressfull.

Summary; is it worth 42k.? no way.
Hassle; too much.
Low company car tax; oh yes
would i buy it privately: No way
